Defender Hannah Cerrone Cerrone once again commuted nearly 200 miles round-trip several times a week from her home in Wappingers Falls to Long Island to play for the Fury in both 2008 and 2009. "Hannah is an amazing player that oozes class and skill. She is a delight to watch and I think she is a critical part of our team's chances to be in the WPSL championship game in August on Long Island," commented Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley. "She has speed, a thunderbolt of a shot and an engine that allows her to play both sides of the ball. She will be one of our older, more experienced players at 20! But her leadership qualities will be of paramount importance to our young club." Cerrone scored one goal each for the Fury in the past two years. Cerrone also stars for Boston College. In 2007, she was selected All-Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman Team member, was a NSCAA All-Northeast second-team selection, was named Soccer Buzz Northeast Freshman of the Year and Soccer Buzz All-Freshman All-America first-team. She was also selected to the Soccer Buzz Northeast Region first team.
