![]() Forward Leigh Anne Cummings "Leigh Anne is quick, athletic and knows how to handle the ball. Makes great runs and makes defenders uncomfortable with her speed and ability to get behind them. An excellent crosser of the ball." commented Long Island Fury head coach Paul Riley. After a stellar soccer career at Kellenberg Memorial High School, where she was named the 2006 Catholic League Player of the Year, Leigh Anne played for the Indiana Hoosiers as a freshman last fall and has very fond memories of scoring the tying goal against USC on September 9. The Hoosiers wound up winning, 2-1, in the first overtime. A slight detour for the Trojans as they captured the NCAA title later that year. Leigh Anne played forward for both the East Meadow Magic and Albertson Fury of the Long Island Junior Soccer League as well as Eastern New York's Olympic Development Program. She scored the winning goal to give the Magic the Disney Showcase title. Her very impressive résumé includes being Disney Showcase champs, WAGS champions, PDA Showcase champs, two-time State Cup titlists, two-time ODP regional champs and ODP national champions.
