Midfielder Kelly Farrell

Her play for the Fury has steadily improved after the misfortune of tearing her ACL during the inaugural season when the team won its first WPSL national championship.

The 21-year-old Oceanside midfielder also plays for Loyola College in Baltimore where she received the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team honors as well as MAAC All-Rookie Team plus Farrell led the Greyhounds to the MAAC title in 2007.

At Oceanside High School, she was Most Valuable Player of the Girls Varsity Soccer Team plus received All-County honors in soccer and All-Conference in track. Farrell played club soccer for the Albertson Fury, which were two-time State Cup champions.

"Kelly has now fully recovered from her injury and we expect her to reach the potential she showed in 2007," commented Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley. "Great training habits combined with a hunger to beat players make her an outstanding prospect at the WPSL level. She is quick, rifle of a right foot and nasty streak to go with it."
