![]() Midfielder Madison Haller The 16-year-old midfielder will make the 110-mile round-trip commute from her home in South Salem, which she currently does a few times a week to play with the Long Island Junior Soccer League's Albertson Fury '89 and Albertson Fury '90. Her family's home is just a short corner kick from the Connecticut border. "Maddie is one of those players that every team needs and relies on. Excellent speed, great determination and is one of the best penalty area-to penalty area players you can find," commented Long Island Fury head coach Paul Riley. "Maddie does an amazing of work in a game and can do a job equally on both sides of the ball," Coach Riley continued. "She's destined to be a fabulous college player and with her training habits how far she goes is up to her. She is the ultimate team player." Madison studies at the Harvey School, where she's a member of the Honor Roll and was also honored as the Cavaliers' Girls Varsity Soccer Most Valuable Player. She received Harvey's Scholar/Athlete Award as well. Madison says her best moment on a soccer field up to now was defeating the rival East Meadow Shooting Stars in the semifinals of the State Cup.
