![]() Forward Kari Quinn The Long Island Fury is very pleased to announce that forward Kari Quinn of Shoreham is returning to the team this year. At 15 years old in 2009, she played against much older opponents in helping the Fury win the Women's Premier Soccer League national championship, registering one assist. "Kari is the proverbial bull in a china shop. She is sharp, nasty in the penalty area and has a rifle of a right foot. Brilliant in one on one situations," commented Fury Director of Football Paul Riley. "Kari creates major problems both with her speed and her strength. She is destined to be a major college goalscorer." Kari plays club soccer for the Albertson Fury 93 and in the Olympic Development Program for both Eastern New York and Region 1 (Northeast United States). At Shoreham-Wading River High School, she was honored as All-State, All-Long Island, All-County, All-Conference, All-League plus League MVP and received the Academic/Scholar Award. Kari loves the arts, especially singing, dancing and writing poetry.
