Midfielder/Defender Molly Bruh

"Good Golly, Miss Molly" was the headline on BigAppleSoccer.com after she scored on a 21-yard direct kick to give the Fury the 2009 WPSL national championship over Ajax America, 1-0.

The 18-year-old Wheatley High School plays for George Washington University in our nation's capital during the fall. At Wheatley High School, Molly was a member of the National Honor Society in addition to receiving All-State honors in soccer plus was recently honored as Nassau County's 2008 Scholar/Athlete of the Year.

The East Williston resident competes in club soccer for the Albertson Fury '90, currently ranked fourth in the nation. The four-time State Cup champions were National Elite Women's Soccer Showcase (NEWSS) champs in 2007, Jefferson Cup champs in both 2006 and 2007 plus Raleigh Shootout champions in 2006. They have also been finalists in the Regionals, the Disney Cup and Las Vegas College Showcase.

She's very proud of the fact that that Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley has trained her from a 4-year-old munchkin straight through to age 17.

"Outstanding leader at the youth level. Precise, intelligent, smooth, great passing range and ability to lead any team," commented Riley. "She has a lot of first-class tools: shot like a rocket, good size, combative and loves to win."
