The Bohemia resident, now 17 years old, studies at Connetquot High School, where she was honored as All-County with the girls soccer team.

At Connetquot High School, Murino received All-County and All-Conference honors last fall for the Thunderbirds. Her sisters--Joann (15), Michelle (17) and Danielle (18)--starred on the varsity team as well.

Murino plays club soccer for Albertson Fury '92 plus competes for the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program and the Regional Team. Her best moment on a soccer field came "scoring the winning penalty kick at the Disney Cup."

"Deanna is a thoroughbred; she is athletic, superb on the ball and has a winning metality that is way above her age. She can play both sides of the ball and is your complete prototypical defensive midfielder with ability to score goals from distance," commented Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley.
