![]() Defender Kelly Stumper At Smithtown High School East, Stumper is a 4.0 student with AP and Honors curriculum. She plays soccer for the Albertson Fury 93, the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program and the Region 1 team in addition to the Long Island Fury. "Some players are born to defend and Kelly is one of those few who relish playing in the back. She loves defending, loves stuffing opponents and loves to stop the opposing team's best player," commented Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley. "A pure defender who is a great tackler, superb reader of the game and a genuine top notch defender. She has a very bright future and will play with some major college players and will not be overawed by this experience." Stumper says "her best moment ever on a soccer field was being with my team, Albertson Fury 93, at the Las Vegas College Showcase this February and having our team go undefeated and unscored upon in the tournament." The St. James is the youngest of four girls in her family. "All of us are athletic and highly competitive. We all push each other to succeed," she added.
