Goalkeeper Michelle Betos
"Betos is a tremendous all around goalkeeper. She is brilliant on crosses, great at one-on-one battles and has great organization qualities. There is not a young keeper in the country with this much quality," Fury coach Paul Riley commented, "All she needs now is experience at this level."
The Whitestone, Queens resident is a two-time CHSAA Player of the Year and attends St. Francis Prep. Betos will be competing for the University of Georgia Bulldogs this fall after the Fury's season. In the Long Island Junior Soccer League, she keeps the ball out of the net for the Albertson Fury 87s. Her best moment on a soccer field was shutting out Long Island, 1-0, at the Empire State Games as the goalkeeper for New York City.
