Five Fury Players Selected to the U.S. National Teams (July 11, 2006, Albertson, NY)-The Long Island Fury of the Women's Premier Soccer League is very pleased to announce that five of its players were named to the United States National Teams. Midfielder Rebecca Moros of Larchmont plus forwards Bristan Davis of Locust Valley and Brittany Taylor of Campbell Hall were named to the United States Under 21 National Team that will compete in the Nordic Cup from July 16 to 22 in Norway. Forward Alaina Beyar of Staten Island and defender Alyssa Pember of Northport were named to the United States Under 16 National Youth Team. "I am extremely proud to see these five Furyites representing the United States. They have brilliant training habits and we wish them all the best of luck," commented Fury head coach Paul Riley. Moros, Davis, Beyar and Pember were coached by Riley on Long Island Junior Soccer League teams named Fury. At 5-1-1 and in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals, the Long Island Fury is the pinnacle of the Fury girls premier system, the only top-to-bottom premier club on the island. From Under 7 to Under 18, girls proudly wear the Fury uniform and now they have a top level women’s team to support, follow and play on.
