Public Relations Director Randy Vogt
VogtRandy has served as the Public Relations Director of the Long Island Junior Soccer League, a volunteer position, since 1989. His press releases have generated national and international coverage. He directs public relations for both the Long Island Academy and Fury.

He is also a soccer referee, having taking up officiating in 1978, just after his 16th birthday. Randy has officiated over 6,500 matches during the past three decades.

A memorable moment on the soccer field came refereeing Liberty Cup Moscow in August 1991 while the military coup was occurring in the Soviet capital. Another unforgettable moment took place when the Syosset resident was named a "community hero" and experienced 15 minutes of flame in carrying the torch for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

He has been honored as the LIJSL's Referee of the Year in 2002, the New York Metro Intercollegiate Soccer Official Association's Assistant Referee of the Year in 2003 and the Long Island Soccer Referee Association's Referee of the Year in 2004.
