Midfielder Madison Haller

The midfielder makes the 110-mile round-trip commute from her home in South Salem, which she currently does a few times a week to play with the Long Island Junior Soccer League's Albertson Fury '89 and Albertson Fury '90. Her family's home is just a short corner kick from the Connecticut border.

"Maddie is one of those players that every team needs and relies on. Excellent speed, great determination and is one of the best penalty area-to penalty area players you can find," commented Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley.

"Maddie does an amazing of work in a game and can do a job equally on both sides of the ball," Riley continued. "She's destined to be a fabulous college player and with her training habits how far she goes is up to her. She is the ultimate team player."

Haller graduated from the Harvey School, where she was a member of the Honor Roll and was also honored as the Cavaliers' Girls Varsity Soccer Most Valuable Player. She received Harvey's Scholar/Athlete Award as well and now studies at Duke University.
