"Consistent, determined and a top all-round defender. Loves competing and has some amazing physical tools," commented Long Island Fury head coach Paul Riley. "Extremely fast, ruthless in the tackle and reads the game like a professional."

Besides competing for the Long Island Fury, Emily plays club soccer for Albertson Fury '91, serving as team captain for the past three years, and school soccer for Garden City High School. At Garden City, coach Mike Hudley will put her at forward to score the tying goal with a few minutes left even though she ordinarily plays in the defensive half of he field.

Besides excelling academically as a member of the National Honor Society, Emily was named All-American in track for the past two years and All-County in soccer in 2007.
