Midfielder Elaine O'Connor
O'ConnorThe Dublin native played this spring against World Cup champions Germany in a World Cup qualifier in Cottbus, Germany. O'Connor says that it was her best moment ever on a soccer field even though the Germans wound up winning the match, 1-0.

"Elaine is a marvelous player with a magical touch. She has brilliant vision and her passing ability makes her a great playmaker," commented Fury head coach Paul Riley. "Expectations for Elaine are high and I feel she will be the driving force in our midfield unit."

O'Connor's club teams in Europe included Lourdes Celtic FC and the Arsenal Ladies Team.

O'Connor also played for the Hofstra Pride and was selected to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Conference First Team in 2002 and 2003. O'Connor was named the Irish National Player of the Year in 2005.
