Midfielder/Forward Karin Simonian

The sky is the limit for Simonian, who scored two goals for the Fury as a 14-year-old in 2007 and doubled that to four goals in 2008 with three goals tallied in 2009 plus one goal in 2010.

The Westbury resident studies at W.T. Clarke High School and plays on the United States Girls-Under-15 National Team and the Long Island Junior Soccer League's Albertson Fury Premier 92. She was also named to the U.S. Women's National Team Under 17 Player Pool. She'll be studying at Notre Dame this fall.

"Karin has a unique quality--she can change the game at any time. Fantastic shot with a great goal sense makes her prolific around the box," Long Island Fury Director of Football Paul Riley commented. "She is intelligent, crafty and causes unbelievable problems for opposing defenses. A big-time player with a big-time future."

She has been honored as a NSCAA Youth All-American plus All-County and All-State. When asked what her best moment on a soccer field has been, she replied, "In one of my high school varsity games when my team was fighting for a playoff spot, we were losing 4-0 at half time. I scored five goals in 25 minutes and assisted on another goal to win the game 6-4."
